Rob Hahn

Rob earned a BFA in theatre from Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts in St. Louis, where he also performed on the Main Stage of The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.  He received his acting MFA from California State University, Fullerton.

Since 1998, Rob has coached people in dialect work and accent reduction.  He currently teaches at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the heart of Hollywood, where he teaches accent reduction, dialects, and Voice and Speech.  There, he has coached hundreds of actors in over 75 productions, from Shakespeare to Molière to Mamet.  Rob has also coached more than 30 dialects and accents, from British to Yiddish to West African.

Recently, Rob has coached Cody Green in Kenneth Branagh’s MacBeth (Scottish), Emily VanCamp on ABC’s Revenge (Boston), Katy Sullivan on FX’s Legit (Australian), Omid Abtahi (SE London) on Showtime’s Sleeper Cell, (also in Argo and Fox’s 24), the Orbit Gum spokeswoman (RP British), Dominic Bowden (American) – host of New Zealand Idol, and many others.
